Viscose
Viscose is made from the cellulose, or wood pulp, of plants including bamboo, soy, and sugar cane as well as fast-growing, regenerate trees like eucalyptus, beech, and pine. A chemical solution is used to dissolve the cellulose material, resulting in a pulpy, viscous substance that is subsequently spun into fibres and turned into threads.

Highlights

  • Viscose rayon is a cool fabric for fashionable summer clothing since it is highly permeable.
  • Viscose fabric is a practical choice for activewear because it is incredibly absorbent. It wicks sweat away and doesn’t trap heat.
  • Viscose fabric retains its colour beautifully. In spite of several washings, it can retain dye for a long time.
  • Viscose drapes wonderfully because of its fluid, silk-like texture.
  • Viscose rayon, which derives from natural resources, is incredibly light and airy.
  • It’s a less expensive option than silk.
Nylon
Nylon fabric is a petrochemical-based synthetic material. It is renowned for its excellent elasticity, strength, and toughness. Nylon, also referred to as polyamide fabric, is utilized for making bulletproof vests and clothing. The best material for swimwear is nylon for its strong water resistance.

Highlights

  • Nylon fabric is created by weaving a succession of threads together. These fibres can be made entirely of nylon or can include cotton or polyester in addition to nylon. Whatever the amount of fibres, the finished product is referred to as a synthetic nylon textile.
  • Uses for nylon fabric include stockings and tights, musical instrument strings, carpets, bridal veils, umbrellas, luggage, toothbrush fibres, underwear, foundation wear & corsets, blouses & dresses, ski wear, windbreakers, swimwear, ropes, parachutes, bulletproof vests, and firefighting gear.
  • Nylon’s benefits include being strong and resilient, extremely elastic, capable of regaining its original shape, quick-drying, and machine washable.
  • Doesn’t bleed colour or fade in the wash, is resistant to mildew, mould, and moths, is resistant to many chemicals, is resistant to oil and bleach, and is resistant to many other things
Knitted
Knitted fabric is produced from one or more long interconnecting and looping strands, similar to how we would knit with knitting needles and a ball of yarn.

Highlights

  • As a result, knit fabrics are a stretchy sort of fabric that are primarily used for casual apparel, though they have many other applications as well.
  • Large knitting machines are used to make knit fabrics, greatly accelerating the manufacturing process!
  • Knitted fabrics have the following qualities: air permeability, pliability, softness, crimp resistance, and crease and tear resistance.
Polyester
Polyester is a chemical polymer made up mostly of substances with an ester functional group. Ethylene, a component of petroleum that can also be produced from other sources, is used to create the majority of synthetic and certain plant-based polyester fibres. While certain types of polyester are biodegradable, the majority of them are not, and polyester use and production both add to global pollution.

How Is Fabric Made of Polyester Used?

  • Used in clothing like as shirts, pants, suits, coats, socks, and undergarments.
  • For home furnishings – Used in bath towels, kitchen towels, face towels, blankets, carpets, upholstery, curtains, padding for chairs, sofas, and pillows.
  • Used in LCD screens, holographic film, boats, tarps, and bottles for industrial applications.
